⦁ Ongoing excursions to Croydon Park and Wyreena Arts Centre.
⦁ At Hewish Road CCC, we believe in encouraging children to explore and be an active part of their local communities. Our excursions and incursions for 2023 have followed the children’s interests, and comments, or extended our inquiry projects. We also link all programs to the learning outcomes of children, promoting Identity, well-being, Community, Learning, and Communication.
⦁ This year we have had our local librarians visit, had a visit from the police station, journeyed to Chesterfield Farm, been amazing by dinosaur fossils as the Melbourne Museum came to visit, explored our local arts community center, had local Primary School teachers visiting us and building connections with the Kinder groups, Responsible Pet Ownership Programs, And there is much more planned for the year ahead.
⦁ During our excursions, we go above and beyond to create experiences that are fun, educational, guided by interests, and above all safe. With a detailed risk assessment created, and through communication with families every step of the way.
⦁ Our ongoing excursion to the same locations encourages children to gain a deeper connection to the community and explore our neighboring natural environments in depth. These excursions also support our health and well-being through engaging with road safety skills, being physically active, and sharing meaningful experiences with our peers and teachers.
